Getting Group Tickets Back On-Sale!

As fans prepare to fill stadiums this fall, our teams are working with administration to get group tickets and experiences back on-sale. Due to capacity and social distancing restrictions, group activities and events were cancelled during the 2020 football season. Despite these cancellations, our sales teams have been maintaining close communication with their loyal group leaders during the past year. As we approach the 2021 football season, our teams are releasing group sales campaigns and marketing these on social media, within fan outreach touchpoints and during sales calls. Fans are more than ready to return to their stadiums for memorable group experiences!

Check out the some of the group sales campaigns our teams are working on below!

Our team at SMU is currently on-sale with their Seats for Service tickets for the upcoming football season. During the month of May, our team sent outreach emails to fans introducing this campaign and tying it in with the various appreciation days recognizing community heroes throughout the month. Included in this email was information about the Seats For Service campaign and a link to purchase the $25 tickets. SMU has partnered with 7-Eleven for the Seats for Service promotion and have a webpage dedicated to purchasing the tickets.

The Mustangs are currently on-sale with other group opportunities for the fall and are having success selling these to interested group buyers through email and phone conversations. They are working to create FEVO pages for these other group opportunities such as Family Weekend, Law School Weekend, Education Appreciation Day, First Responder’s Game and Youth Sports Day. They plan to release these FEVO pages in the next few weeks!

The Panthers are preparing for multiple group events as they get closer to the 2021 football season. Similar to many of our other partner schools, they are currently on-sale with Seats for Service tickets. Pitt has partnered with Operation Hat Trick and has a FEVO page dedicated to this 2021 football promotion. For a limited time and while supplies lasted, our team was offering fans the opportunity to purchase a Pitt x OHT tumbler or cooler package. These packages included a ticket back to the “Seats for Service Members” program which allows local service members to attend the November 11th home game vs North Carolina. While these packages have sold out on the FEVO page, fans are still able to purchase Seats for Service tickets for local service members. The team is also preparing for Band Day and Cheer & Dance Day and are working to create FEVO landing pages for these two experiences.

The Buffs are also on-sale with their Seats for Service program. Similar to many of our teams, they have tickets available for purchase on their Seats for Service FEVO page. Our team at Colorado is currently finalizing other group opportunities for Folsom Field this fall and plan to release these on July 1st.

This spring, the Gamecocks released their Teacher Appreciation Day and Band Day campaigns to the public. They have found success using FEVO to house these group offers. The Teacher Appreciation Day is open to all educators and features a $30 discounted ticket to the October 16th Vanderbilt game. The Mighty Sound Experience, The Gamecock’s Band Day, encourages high-school bands to sign up and participate in a once-in-a-lifetime experience spending the day playing with the Gamecock Band and performing on the field during halftime! Bands can sign up through this link on the Athletics website. Friends and family of the band students that participate can purchase guest tickets through FEVO for just $25!

The Hawkeyes have recently gone on-sale with their Education Appreciation discounted tickets. Iowa will host the Education Appreciation Group Day in partnership with Extra Yard for Teachers on September 18th at home against Kent State. To supplement their call campaign, they are advertising these tickets on social media and through outreach via email. They have created a FEVO page for teachers and their guests to purchase tickets.

In addition to Education Appreciation Day, the Hawkeyes are on-sale with their Spirit Squad theme day. A Spirit Squad Day purchase includes a ticket to the September 18th home game, a 30-minute live stream of a University of Iowa Cheer & Dance practice and a complimentary t-shirt. In place of the live half-time performance on the field this year, the Hawkeyes will play a custom video montage of all the participants that signed up and bought tickets. Tickets are available through the FEVO link to purchase for participants and guests.

Although the general on-sale for group tickets will begin in mid- July for the Mountaineers, our team at WVU is proactively referencing their WV Heroes Day campaign to their season ticket holders and donors on every phone call. The Mountaineers currently have a season ticket priority single game ticket request form, where current season ticket holder can request additional tickets, and included is this form is a WV Heroes order form as well. The West Virginia Athletic Department is actively creating a press release to officially announce WV Heroes Day and the sponsorship with West Virginia Lottery. This will go out on social media channels with click to buy links. Our sales team is hoping this will drive purchases in the coming months!

In May, our sales team at Troy launched their Michelob Ultra Lounge in partnership with our MMR team and the local Budweiser distributor. There are eight of these lounges available for groups of four to purchase for the 2021 season. These group lounges are a bit different than a traditional group experience, since the purchase of a table in the lounge grants fans with a season ticket for this area. Our team has found great success marketing these lounges packages as they have sold 7 of the 8 lounges in one month.
