Hoops For The Holidays

Following its successful Seats for Soldiers fan-funded ticket giveaway, IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions, with the help of many generous college sports fans, will be offering thousands of deserving young people a chance to attend college basketball games this season.

Through Hoops for the Holidays up to 20,000 youngsters will be attending various college Men’s and Women’s games beginning Dec. 15th until December 31st.

Hoops for the Holidays, began at the University of Tennessee in November, 2011. Fans purchased for donation 5,500 Men’s and Women’s Basketball tickets to youth in the Knoxville Community and surrounding areas served by organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club and the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

The program has now expanded to 13 IMG Learfield Ticket Solution School Partners: Akron, Arkansas, Duke, Florida, Georgia State, NC State, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Temple, Tulsa and Wyoming.

In addition to the organizations named above, tickets will go to youth served by Emerald Youth Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, United Way, local children’s hospitals, and YMCA and YWCA.

“It’s very rewarding to give back to youngsters who might not otherwise have had an opportunity to attend a world-class sporting event,” said AJ Arem, Regional Manager, Southeast IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions. “Through the support of many generous fans, our hope is to brighten these kids’ holidays through college basketball.”

With the tremendous community support from fans at IMG Learfield schools, the goal is to donate 20,000 college hoops tickets this holiday season.
