ECU-IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions Partnership Enjoys First-Year Success

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Over the course of its first year of partnership, the East Carolina Department of Athletics and IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions exceeded over a half million dollars in new ticket sales and Pirate Club donation revenue.

The intent of the multi-year agreement, which was announced on March 3, 2016, is to maximize ticket inventory and revenues across all of ECU’s ticketed sports and provide ancillary support for the department’s fundraising arm.

“I am extremely pleased with our partnership with IMGLTS,” East Carolina Director of Athletics Jeff Compher said. “They came in and did exactly what they said they would do and I’m very impressed with their results.”

Through its effort cultivating and leading ticket sales initiatives for ECU Athletics, IMGLTS assisted in generating a total ticket revenue of $454,128.07 via increases in 2016 football, 2016-17 men’s basketball and 2017 baseball season ticket sales.

Additionally, IMGLTS utilized creative strategies and marketing approaches to enhance ECU’s single-game, mini-plan and group sales. One of many milestones IMGLTS was able to attain was the sale of nearly 3,000 group tickets during football season which resulted in a 20.9 percent increase from the previous year, while also selling 923 new season ticket packages.

From a fundraising standpoint, IMGLTS added an additional $64,400 through Pirate Club donations through the securement of 224 new members for a total revenue performance of $518,528.07.

“The first year of our partnership with ECU Athletics has exceeded expectations,” President of IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions Rob Sine said. “The collaboration with leadership and the vision and desire to engage the Pirate fan base has made our efforts that much more effective. I look forward to continuing to enhance results with numbers of tickets sold and donation revenue generated.”

A joint venture between IMG College and Learfield, IMGLTS now represents 40 collegiate partners and sells more tickets and raises more fundraising revenue for partners than any other outbound ticket sales company.
