The West Virginia University Mountaineer football team opened up their 2020-2021 season on September 11th against LIU and fans were filled with excitement to be back at Mountaineer Field. Prior to kick-off, fans were treated to Gold and Blue-style entertainment, with a focus on family fun. LEARFIELD Ticket Solutions partnered with The College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences to develop family-friendly entertainment on game day.  The partnership with CPASS allowed students to share what they are learning about sport training activities that are age-appropriate and designed to support youth skill development. The goal was to promote physical activity and physical literacy for children.

The Youth Sports Day featured physical activities such as an obstacle course, agility ladders, hurdles, various drills, wide receiver route tree, and flag tag!

On Saturday, September 4th at their home game against Abilene Christian, our SMU team hosted their Teacher Appreciation Night. There was an incredible showing of local Dallas educators and their friends and family, with 331 tickets sold. During half-time, twenty teachers participated in the on-field experience, pictured above (left). Two Dallas ISD superintendents were honored and presented game balls by Whataburger in collaboration with our MMR team, pictured above (right).

Our team at SMU also hosted Scout Night, another highly successful group experience at their home game against UNT on Saturday, September 11th. They again had an incredible showing as 400 scouts attended the game. One hundred of the scouts were given the opportunity to go down on the field during pre-game to participate in the high-five tunnel and 200 of them stayed for the post-game camp-out on the field. Along with Scout Night, that night they hosted Family Weekend and the First Responder’s game.

All three experiences on Saturday brought in a large crowd, making it one of the best-attended games at SMU!
